The ADEA 2022 Triennale addressed the impact of COVID-19 on Africa's education systems and strategies for resilience and skills development. Over 800 participants, including 12 Ministers, discussed themes such as foundational learning (FL), Technical and Vocational Skills Development (TVSD), higher education, and the use of ICT.

Key recommendations included:

1. Educational Resilience: Build sustainable systems anticipating crises, promote cross-sector collaboration, and leverage community-based programs.

2. FL: Ensure accurate data tracking, adopt structured pedagogy, support teachers in assessment for instruction, and foster accountability and partnerships.

3. TVSD: Secure alternative financing, emphasize practical skills, promote policy coherence, enhance trainer development, and form private sector partnerships.

4. Higher Education: Innovate funding options, strengthen research capacity, encourage strategic partnerships, and improve quality assurance.

5. Data Utilization: Focus on the economics of data, improve funding for quality data usage, and institutionalize data actions for sustainability.

6. Digitalization: Formulate education-focused digital policies, leverage local innovations, adopt an ecosystem approach, and invest in digital infrastructure.

7. Equity: Continuously review policies, design contextualized interventions, promote gender-responsive pedagogy, and enhance access for children with disabilities.

The Triennale reaffirmed the stakeholders' commitment to reform Africa's educational systems for better quality and resilience, aligned with the continent's needs.
