Abstract

"This document outlines the Association for the Development of Education in Africa (ADEA) Strategic Plan 2018-2022, which aims to enhance education across the continent. ADEA’s vision is centered on a collaborative approach to support African countries in developing effective educational policies and programs. The plan is structured around key objectives, including strengthening the Inter-Country Quality Nodes (ICQN), fostering partnerships for educational development, and establishing a Knowledge Hub.

Key initiatives include enhancing the ICQN network, monitoring policy reforms to facilitate pan-African peer learning, and operationalizing a Regional Center to provide advisory and execution support. ADEA emphasizes robust governance with a new structure that aligns with the organization’s needs, ensuring sustainability and effectiveness.

By the end of the plan period, ADEA aims to expand its support to 20 countries, deepen the implementation of strategic initiatives, and conduct a comprehensive review to inform future strategies. Through these efforts, ADEA seeks to make significant strides in improving education quality, accessibility, and relevance across Africa."
